A student only spends about 14 percent of their time in school over the course of a year.  That isn’t always enough time to accomplish what a school wants to accomplish for a student.  Therefore, we have extended hours for those students who want to enrich their literacy skills and for students who need extra help in the area of reading.

The Beemer Elementary Enrichment (BEE) program runs from 3:35 to 5:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the school year.  The goal for the program is to create a fun, safe, and inspiring literary environment for the students who visit the library.

The After-School Reading Program is for invited students.  These students work on a motivating program called Read Naturally which is proven to increase reading fluency and comprehension skills.
